Advisory Program Advisors: Ms. Loso, Mrs. Shiff, Mrs. Riehm
Students are in mixed sixth, seventh, and eighth grade homerooms at the beginning and end of each day in order to provide a home-base and build community among students. In addition, each student has an adult advocate in the building and parents have a single contact person for communication purposes. In Advisory, students participate in one-on-one meetings with their advisor about once a month to discuss personal, academic, behavior and social goals. Students receive memos personalized from teachers to praise them for a job well done, remind them of missing homework, and recognize extra curricular achievement. Finally, students practice life skills including communication, eye contact, problem solving, relationship building and personal responsibility.
