Our Mission and Philosophy

Our Mission

Our Lady of Peace Extended Day program provides a safe, supervised environment for school-age children in a semi-structured setting. Emphasis is placed on social, emotional and physical child development.

Our Philosophy

Our Lady of Peace Extended Day program shares the responsibility with the families of providing an environment for the children where they can grow in positive self-image, develop their potential and become responsible individuals. The program provides many kinds of experiences appropriate to the children’s ages, abilities, and interests.

About the Program

The Extended Day Program is offered for students from preschool through eighth grade.  Families must register for the programs if they choose to participate.

Extended Day at Our Lady of Peace offers families flexibility in balancing work, family, and community commitments.

Extended day is offered before school starting at 7:00 am and after school ending at 5:30 pm.

The number of days selected is a fixed schedule for the school year. Changes to a student’s schedule can be made before school starts, or one month in advance during the school year, depending on availability.

The program offers students a fun, semi-structured place to relax, do homework, and have some fun.

Our Schedule

We have students in a variety of age groups and therefore we offer our students a great amount of choice in how they want to spend their afternoon. However, we are semi-structured and reinforce the themes that are evident throughout the school and community.

GYM: Free time in the gym. Students can choose from a variety of sports, scooters or exercise equipment.

SNACK: We offer healthy snacks daily.

CHOICE: Options include the Art room, Game room, Outdoors, or Homework Club
